Procrastination

I read a interesting article on procrastination. I have never thought about procrastination hurting my future self. Honestly, I do not procrastinate a lot. There are two things I procrastinate for homework and shopping. I will do just about anything to not go shopping. Shopping is like torture for me, I have never enjoyed it. Ever. I  think everyone procrastinates on homework. None of us want to do homework. We would rather watch Netflix, go outside, play video games, and that's what we do to procrastinate. This does end up hurting our future selves. Think about it, if you put off your homework until 8 o' clock and you know you have a boat load of homework and you stay up late doing it, then you are a zombie the next morning.

I blame my procrastination on unwillingness. I don't want to do my homework or go shopping. It bores me, and in my head I have thousands of other things to do that are way more fun. One thing I do to minimize the procrastination on a weekend is to set a time that homework should start and I tell a few people to remind me and tell me to do it and it has gotten a lot better. On weekdays I struggle more. I haven't developed a strategy yet but I am working on it. I haven't beat procrastination yet, but I am taking it down little by little and I plan to keep doing so.
